Could you please tell us about your career so far?

After graduating from high school, I went to a community college in the United States and studied accounting. However, due to the COVID-19, I had to return home and took classes from Japan. After that, my first job as a graduate was a technical support for SAP SuccessFactors which was my first foray into the SAP industry. Afterwards, I moved to ARK and here I am today.

Could you please explain the reasons behind your career change and what ultimately led you to join ARK?

At the end of the SAP SuccessFactors project, I began to think more concretely about my future career. Although my previous company considered positions where I could utilize my English skills, I realized that I wanted to delve deeper into SAP and further develop my skills. I wanted to focus on what I truly wanted to do, using English as a tool rather than the main focus. In this context, ARK aligned closely with the career path I envisioned, offering a strong learning environment for SAP and consulting skills. This led me to decide to join ARK.

Could you please tell us about your current job responsibilities?

I am currently involved in a migration project for a manufacturing client. I am part of the accounting team and am currently working in the testing phase. My main task is to conduct tests based on the provided scenarios. If any issues arise, I coordinate with the development team in India to address and resolve them.

Could you please share what you find rewarding about your work?

Although my experience is still limited and I believe it will take a bit more time to truly feel that I am making a significant contribution, I feel this is actually the best time for learning and growth. I am gradually gaining knowledge and feeling the progress, which I find very rewarding.

Could you please describe the atmosphere at ARK?

There are many unique individuals at ARK in a positive sense. While there is a strong sense of teamwork, people do not overly conform to fit in. Given our multinational environment, there is a culture of respecting each person’s background and accepting differences as part of who they are.

What challenges would you like to take on in the future?

I don’t have a specific challenge in mind yet, but I am inherently curious and enjoy exploring various opportunities. I aim to build a solid foundation for any future aspirations I might have. For now, I see this period of studying accounting as a valuable time to develop skills and knowledge that will prove beneficial later on. I hope to look back and feel that this was a worthwhile investment in preparing for future endeavors.

Finally, could you please share a message for those who are interested in ARK?

I have faced challenges and setbacks myself, but ARK provides a supportive environment that cares for its employees and helps them pursue their ambitions. Even if you are inexperienced, I encourage you not to be overly concerned and to consider applying.
