Could you please tell us about your career so far?

I have been involved in the SAP consulting industry for many years. During my time at a major consulting firm, I was invited by a friend from my graduate school days (who is now the CEO of ARK) to help with ARK, which was the catalyst for my transition.

Could you please describe your current job responsibilities?

Currently, I serve as a department head within the company, focusing primarily on management tasks. I find it both challenging and rewarding to respect and integrate the diverse values and perspectives of each team member while guiding them.(Department head overseeing a team of over 20 people within the company.)

What do you think are the strengths of ARK?

1. The Ability to Grow in the Direction You Aspire

At ARK, you can tailor your career growth based on your personal career plans. While project selection depends on the availability of opportunities, ARK generally allows individuals to align projects with their career goals more easily compared to larger consulting firms. For example, I have been able to grow by focusing on my desire to implement S/4 HANA for major clients and gaining experience in a leadership role while expanding my expertise in specific modules.

 

2. Fast Promotion Speed

In larger firms, where the employee base is extensive and evaluations are often comparative, it can be challenging to receive recognition for your efforts. ARK, being a smaller company, allows for closer attention to each employee, and individual growth is appropriately recognized. This leads to a faster promotion speed compared to larger firms.

What do you consider to be the challenges and areas for improvement at ARK?

While the internal systems at ARK have become significantly more robust, there are still some rules that are not fully implemented, and we aim to address this. Additionally, as the company expands, we are in the process of reviewing and updating our training and education programs. However, there are high workloads on some of the members who serve as instructors, so we plan to reassess and improve this structure.

Could you please tell us about any challenges you would like to pursue in the future?

I would like to gain experience in higher-level activities, such as conceptual design beyond requirements definition, and become a professional who can contribute to the executive management of our clients.

I believe that ARK’s environment is well-suited for individuals who are eager to gain experience in higher-level processes, explore internal management tasks, or start new business ventures.
