A Work Environment That
Embraces All Nationalities
Could you please tell us about your previous experience and your current responsibilities?
For about two years after starting my career, I worked on SAP projects in Canada, primarily focusing on data migration tasks. However, due to my experience studying in Japan during university, I wanted to live in Japan again. So, I began working as an English teacher in Japan, a role that allowed for broad interactions. Later, leveraging my experience with SAP, I decided to pursue a career as a consultant once more and joined ARK. Currently, I am involved in defining master data and managing data governance for clients in the manufacturing sector.
Given that the work environments in Canada and Japan are quite different, have you experienced any difficulties adapting to the changes?
I do not find it difficult to work here. The company has a strong global presence, and employees are understanding of various backgrounds and circumstances, including the need for time off. For example, since returning to Canada requires a 2-3 week vacation, I have been able to take extended time off thanks to the support from the company and my colleagues on the same project.
Have your impressions of the company changed from before you joined to after you started working here?
When I joined, the company was still relatively small. Now, I can feel that the company has grown in size with an increase in the number of employees. I am also pleased to see that the company is actively welcoming global talent, resulting in a growing number of people with similar backgrounds.
Could you please tell us about any challenges you would like to pursue in the future?
So far, I have mainly participated in projects related to data definition and data governance. Moving forward, I would like to take on projects that are closely related to the SD and MM modules, allowing me to be more involved with SAP.
Finally, could you please share a message for those who are interested in ARK?
ARK provides an environment where you can pursue your own interests and receive strong support from your supervisors, making it an excellent place for those looking to expand their potential. Additionally, with team members from around the world, there is no need to worry about communication barriers due to language.
